The name says it all. Larry and Elizabeth
Boggs founded Benchmark in 1971 with the
team concept of developing their own
communities, building all the homes in
each community (not selling lots to
individual builders) and marketing their
own homes through their Benchmark Realty
Group.
That philosophy has give their purchasers
a great deal of satisfaction and peace of
mind because Benchmark is building the
homes in each community and the customer
sees their builder and marketing
representative each and every day on the
streets of their neighborhood. Therefore,
customer warranties are handled daily and
promptly. Customers are also given a 2/10
Warranty in addition to the Benchmark
Warranty.
Benchmark has two communities, Charlton
Crossing and Prestley Park, in
Douglasville where the above described
team concept is working great. Benchmark
has already built 100 plus homes in these
communities and has 35 plus lots remaining
that are larger than normal with public
sewer and water available for these custom
homes. The terrain is rolling and
picturesque with original hardwood trees
and will accommodate full daylight
basements and three-car garages.
The area’s distinctive small-town feel is
matched with excellent schools and medical
facilities, yet is just a short drive from
Atlanta, Arbor Place Mall, golfing and the
nearly 3,000-acre Sweetwater State Park.
Charlton Crossing, a swim and tennis
community, features custom executive
family homes priced from the $300’s to the
$500’s. Its swim and tennis amenities
offer an inviting family lifestyle which
complements the area’s small town feel.
Located adjacent to Charlton Crossing is
Prestley Park, Benchmark’s newest
neighborhood. Priced from the $450’s,
Prestley Park is a prestigious community
which features new and original designs.
Both Benchmark communities offer standard
features such as granite countertops, 3/4”
oak flooring, ceramic tile baths,
architectural shingles and heavy custom
trim packages which provide unequalled
value to homeowners.

the Benchmark team for over 30 years.

building west of Atlanta for 37 years and
have purchased some large tracts of land

Boggs says.
Benchmark is a custom builder at heart.
“We will change plans to satisfy the
customer,” Boggs says. “We listen to the
customer and do what they want as far as
room size and design. I think the biggest
thing that our buyers like is that they
can do some of their own design and redraw
their plans to suit the needs.”

the end of the day, we realize that

important thing,” Boggs says.
